My husband
I have been married since September 2010. We were married in the mountains in Pennsylvania. We've known each other since high school, and we are great support for one another.
I am a 2nd year teacher at P.A.A.A.S. where I teach Language Arts and Writing Fundamentals. I love it!
With my students, I try and implement the ideas that hard work, determination, and fun, interactive lessons, will keep them growing academically. Support all around, including family, friends, and teachers, is important to the success of each and every student. I welcome any and all communication throughout the year and I try my best to communicate during times of difficulty and times of success.
In the classroom, I integrate technology, individual and group work, presentations, research, writing, reading, as well as social media and art-projects. Last year was a lot of fun! Just like my students, I learned a lot from myself and what works well, so I also grow along with them and integrate more concepts as I see the students needs or desires when it comes to the material and how they want to publish their work.
When it comes to support, we all need it-students and teachers alike. I am lucky to have a close family, which helped me get where I am today. When I am not teaching, I enjoy cooking, goofing around with my nephews, going to concerts, watching movies with my husband and our fur-babies, spending time with my family and friends, and traveling.

Family
My nephews Anthony and Chase (Chase is not shown) are the coolest. They allow me to be a kid again, goof around, and take silly photos with me! My brothers, sister-in-law, friends, husband, mom and I are really close... and I love it!
Grams & Grandpa
Even though they have passed away, my grandparents remain my greatest influence. Often, I use them as examples in the classroom and by the end of the year, my students feel like they know these two amazing individuals, who have had a huge impact on me.
Animals
I am a huge animal lover! I love cats, dogs, reptiles, any animal you can think of! The two shown here are Bruce (left) and Otis (right). They love to cuddle, not only with us, but as you can see.... with each other!

My mom is one of the main reasons I pursued my dreams of going back to school to become a teacher. She is the definition of support.
